19 of Medvedev's 21 championships have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player claimed his maiden title for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a former number one, has had a torrid season, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and finally separating with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has steadily improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.
It is the player's initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court from that period of that year.
The win also means Medvedev has secured twenty-one championships at 21 different events.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is particularly special," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, including in Halle previously this season.
His retrieving approach and recurring emotional displays on court had prompted some to doubt if his ability to perform at the top level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, supported by an improved serve.
The champion fought back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, winning four of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his initial ATP Tour championship, took control to push for a decider.
The opponent saved 4 early break points in a competitive deciding set before the Russian broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he earned the win with a shot at the net area, with Moutet failing to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
