AC Shadows Unveils Surprising AoT Crossover for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden cult.
The mission focuses on "strange tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an special katana alongside multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-themed costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Newest Free Story Update
This release also brings the game's latest free story addition, titled "The Mystery."
